Cook the Book Club: First meal

Join us on a culinary journey like no other with our club, "Cook the Book"!  If you have a passion for food, a love of cooking, or simply enjoy the pleasures of a shared meal, this is the club for you. 

We had a great first meeting and made some important decisions:

• We selected a cookbook: Ottolenghi Simple by Yotam Ottolenghi.
• Everyone will contribute to the meal, either hosting, cooking, pairing beverages, providing great bread to go with the meal or helping with clean-up

Please test your recipe before you make it for the club. Keep notes to share with us on what worked and what didn’t. If you have trouble finding any of the ingredients, please let me know and I’ll assist.

Since our first meal falls in December, we are also going to do a cook book gift exchange. Please bring a wrapped cookbook from your shelf or second hand from the library, thrift store or thriftbooks.com. If you purchase a cookbook the budget is $5.
